We loved the cottage - very comfy and very well equipped.  The bairns enjoyed the table tennis and the extensive library.  We found wildlife everywhere.  Ness great for seals and dolphins, the road along Loch Erisort great for sea eagles, and we saw an otter swimming not far from the pier in Cromore around 10:45pm on our last evening.  Beaches at Tolsta, Luskentyre and scarasta not to be missed.  Scarasta best by miles for sea shells, If eating out the Anchorage at Leverburgh fantastic food at good prices.  The bairns said these were the best fish and chips every.  Sad to leave, but hope to return some day, Thanks Marie for all the info you gave beforehand and being so welcoming xx

P.S

You can buy excellant hand dived scallops from about 4pm on pier at Uig well worth the drive!

We had a fantastic stay in Cromore.  The location allowed us to vist the whole island from the beaches of South Harris to the Butt of Lewis.  One of the highlights was the boat trip round the fish farms with Murdo.

Marie was very welcoming and the house proved very comfortable, especially with kids

A brilliant stay in a comfortable  "home from home".  We especially enjoyed the superb views of Loch Erisort from the conservatory and on the sunny days enjoyed tea on the patio taking in the natural beauty of the area.

Marie, Murdo and Muriel ( Marie's mother ) made us feel very welcome and were always there to help.  Thank you.  Fantastic two weeks of wonderful walks and great beaches!

At the age of 88 yrs, this may well be my last trip to Scotland - and what a fantastic place for a last trip.  Sitting in the sunroom is such a lovely experience  - Water, Gulls, and Sheep, Who needs more?

We had a fantastic holiday here.  The house was great with enough room to hid from our little brothers!  Great location and beautiful scenery.  Thank you Marie for your great hospitality.  We will be back!  ( Angus and Thomas loved the stuffed animals and hiding from us all under the table tennis table!)

Wow!  Firstly Marie and Co have left nothing out.  The house is magnificent, the most gorgeous welcome basket - so personal and generous.  From the fluffy towels to the well equipped games room, kitchen, utility room - nothing has been forgotten.   They are alway on hand if needed.  Really had an incredible week in that it has to be the world's most beautiful spot.  Highly recommended Tiumpan Head lighthouse, Butt of Lewis lighthouse and Luskentyre Beach.  All equisite.  We were lucky enough to see seals right outside the cottage!  We saw Dolphines and Orcas as well as otters and seals, eagles etc at all the spots mentioned above.  We travelled for hours to get,  here to get away from life at home for a bit - it was worth every single mile!  We would love to come back!  Stornoway smoke house - hot smoked salmon is a must!

We have had a marvellous time in this lovely house - perfect ffor all of us, and the kids were in heaven.  Marie could not have been more welcoming - Thank you for all the goodies on arrival - Murdo got the dishwasher going in double quick time, we had good chats with Muriel over her scones and rhubard jam.  No thing was too much trouble and we have felt completely at home.  As for location - well just look out of the window !  One could spend a great week just in and around Cromor, but we had relative to vist in Ness, and we wanted to show the family other places on Lewis.  Highlights :  Reef beach near Uig, Butt of Lewis Lighthouse in a Charactoristic Force 7, a sea treck outing on a rib( exhilarating) and soaring eagles ( x 3).  We'll be back !
